Blair Fishel, Jr., 70 of Altoona died Monday July 17, 2017 at home.

               He was born June 10, 1947 in Spangler, a son of the late Blair and Martha (Holman) Fishel, Sr. He married Mary Ellen Holland on Mary 15, 1966 in Westover.

               Surviving are his wife Mary; a daughter, Susan Renee Fishel; four grandchildren, Skyler, Angelina, Maria, and Ricky; three brothers, Bruce, Leo and Paul; and two sisters, Venna and Hilda.

               He was preceded in death by an infant son; two daughters, Melissa Ruiz and Christine Ann Aurandt; and a sister, Emma Jean Hugill.

               Blair was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church.

               He worked as a machine operator at the Altoona Mirror and previously worked a Cove Shoe Company in Martinsburg.

               Mr. Fishel enjoyed fishing and hunting.

               Friends will be received Thursday July 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Ice officiating. Committal will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
