David P. “Dave” Albright, 51, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born July 22, 1965 in Altoona, son of L. Paul and Elizabeth A. (Carson) Albright. On July 12, 1999, he married Kathleen M. “Kathy” Bradley in Winchester, Va.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy; three children: Jesse C., William G. and Sarah E. Albright, all at home; his parents of Altoona; a sister, Paula A. Frederick and husband, Jeffrey, of Altoona; his in-laws; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Rebecca Frederick.

Dave was a 1983 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was formerly employed as a detailer for several local car dealerships.

He was a former member of Altoona First Church of the Brethren, and he enjoyed working with cars, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today, April 6, 2017, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor William Pepper officiating. Interment will be made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, Blair Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
