David John “Pooch” Nash, Sr., 84 of Duncansville died Sunday March 5, 2017 at home.

               He was born December 23, 1932 in Altoona a son of the late Joseph Leroy and Grace (Swander) Nash. He married Helen Worley on July 2, 1964.

               Surviving are his wife Helen; three children, Leilani Baxter and husband David of Warren, PA, David John Nash, Jr of North Carolina, and Shirle Sullivan; a step-son Gene Worley; ten grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

               David was the last of his immediate family.

               He was a U.S. Army veteran.

               He retired in 1997 from Bryce Sailor and Sons, Inc. after 20 plus years of service.

               Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday March 9, 2017 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Schwartzman officiating.
