Evan Jacob Koegler, 18 of Carterville, IL, formerly of Altoona died Friday November 17, 2017 in Evansville, IN.

            He was born April 16, 1999 a son of Matthew J. and the late Jodie Lynn (Krull) Koegler.

            Surviving are his father, Matthew; two brothers, Ryan C. Koegler (Emily Prell) of Savannah, GA; Collin M. Koegler of Ft. Bragg, NC; half-brother, Justin R. Koegler and his wife Jessica of Kansas City, MO; paternal grandmother, Joyce A. Koegler of Altoona; maternal grandmother, Joan Krull of Altoona; paternal grandfather Edward Krull of Altoona; and numerous extended family.

            Evan was preceded in death by his mother, Jodie Lynn Koegler on February 2, 2017 and his paternal grandfather, Paul J. Koegler.

            He attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Herrin, IL.

            He was currently a student and enjoyed hiking, rock climbing and computers, having built his own computer gaming system.

Evan loved life, laughing, joking, and having a good time.
A private visitation and funeral mass will be held at the convenience of the family.

            Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
