Irene Mountain, 91 died Sunday September 11, 2016 at Pinnacle Healthcare Community General Hospital, Harrisburg. 
    She was born December 14, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Lipovsky. She married Harold E. Mountain, Sr. on October 24, 1948 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2008. 
    Surviving are her son Harold E. Mountain, II and wife Joann of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Lane of Sebring, FL.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter Phyllis Irene Barrett. 
    Irene was a life member of District 14 Past Matron’s Association Order of the Eastern Star. 
    Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Edward Harshbarger officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
