Jacquelyn Mabel “Jackie” Salsgiver, 89 of Altoona died Monday October 23, 2017 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

               She was born August 5, 1928 in Altoona, daughter of the late Lester J. and Mabel Jane (Decker) Salsgiver.

               Surviving are three siblings, Shirley J. Black and husband Andrew of Greenwood, Donald W. Salsgiver and wife Arlene of Garden Heights and Ronald K. Salsgiver and wife Karen of Bellwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

               She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary D. Salsgiver and Robert Salsgiver; and three sisters, Blanche Houck, Betty Weaver, and Wanda Harber.

               She was a member of Grace Reformed Church.

               Jackie retired as a seamstress from Reese Brothers, Inc.

               Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian D. Sandell officiating.

               Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.

               In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.
