            Josephine M. Dillon, 99 formerly of Altoona died Friday afternoon July 22, 2016 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home.

            She was born July 13, 1917 in Gallitzin a daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Pastorelli) Mazzocco. She married Charles E. Dillon on July 21, 1943 in Gallitzin. He preceded her in death April 13, 2005.

            Surviving are three children, daughter Colleen M. Boyd and her husband Dana of State College; son Dr. Michael J. Dillon and his wife Deborah of Altoona; daughter Ann M. Pavlic and her husband Joseph M., III of Lynchburg, VA; four grandchildren, Christina Runkle and her husband Cole; Brian Pavlic; Ashley Dillon and Sean Dillon.

            Josephine was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mazzocco and Helen Wilson.

            Mrs. Dillon was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Cathedral Square, Altoona.

            She attended Gallitzin High School.

            She retired from the cafeteria of D. S. Keith Junior High School in the Altoona Area School District.

            Josephine enjoyed playing Pinochle and taking bus trips to the casinos.

            Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation.

            A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 27, 2016 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, One Cathedral Square, Altoona with Monsignor Robert C. Mazur as celebrant. Committal rites will be held at the Cathedral with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Garvey Manor Nursing Home, 1037 South Logan Boulevard, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
