Justin David Hardin, 23 of Altoona died early Monday morning July 4, 2016 as the result of an auto accident.

            He was born October 21, 1992 in Altoona the son of the late Howard H. Hardin and Renee Michelle Bogel.

            Surviving are his mother and step-father Renee M. and James G. Smith, Sr. of Altoona; three children, Abigal, Jaxson and Graeyson Hardin all of Altoona; sisters, Jessica Hardin and Isabel Smith both of Altoona; brother Jimmy Smith, Jr. of East Freedom; maternal grandparents, Robert and Judy Tyack of Altoona; and paternal grandmother, Catherine Hardin of Altoona.

            Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard C. Hardin.

            He was employed for the last two years as an HVAC technician for Allied Mechanical Electrical of State College.

            Justin enjoyed spending time with his children; working on cars and helping people.

            He was a member of the United Veterans Home Association, Bellwood.

            Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday July 7, 2016 and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday July 7, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. Brian Sandell officiating.

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Justin to the family in care of the funeral home.
