Mary Patricia (Conrad) Wertz

            Mary Patricia “Patty” Wertz, 70 of Altoona died Thursday afternoon March 1, 2018 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

            She was born August 16, 1947 in Altoona a daughter of the late Michael S. and Catherine T. (Socie) Conrad.

            She married Gary E. Wertz on June 14, 1969 in Altoona. He preceded her in death June 25, 2007.

            Surviving are a cousin and caregiver Gloria Beatty and her husband, Robert of Altoona.

            She was a 1967 graduate of Altoona High School.

            She retired from the laundry department of the Altoona Hospital after 22 years’ service.

            Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James C. House officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, PO Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
