                                          Patricia Anne “Patty” Knott, 84 of Hollidaysburg passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.

                                          She was born November 30, 1932 in Huntingdon a daughter of the late William Ewing and Martha (Yocum) Johnston. She married George Edward Knott on July 21, 1956.

                                          Surviving are nieces and nephews, Cheryll Lynn Thayer, John Lawson Ball, Michael Seaton Ball and Mary Elizabeth Mayhew; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth K. Ball.

                                       She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George, and a brother Robert Johnston.

                                          Mrs. Knott was a member of First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tyrone.

                                          She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School, attended Juniata College and graduated from the Altoona School of Commerce.

                                             Patricia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mt. Union Chapter; and the Order of Amaranth in Sunbury, PA.  She was a former member and past president of the American Legion Post #520 Auxillary.  She was a life-long supporter of the Girl Scouts.

                                          She enjoyed cooking, sewing, adventure and genealogy.

                                          Patty was a life loving person, sweet to all, and loved by all who had the fortune to know her, especially her niece and nephews, never forgetting their birthdays. She had many girlfriends she considered as close as sisters. She was devoted to her husband George, loving him with all her heart.     

                                          Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday January 24, 2017 at First English Evangelical Church, 17 West 13th Street, Tyrone, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Sharon Erb officiating. Interment will be made at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

                                          In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
