Romayne Rebecca Wildes, 98, of Centerville, OH, formerly of Altoona, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday,  December 26, 2017 in Dayton, OH. 

      She was born September 17, 1919, in Altoona a daughter of the late Oscar and Mary (Gilbert) White. She married Frank R. Wildes  on July 2, 1942 in Winchester, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2009 and a daughter, Mary Ann Beckwith, in 2014. 

     Surviving are two sons, Charles E. Wildes and wife Marjorie of Centerville, OH and Richard R. Wildes and wife Johnna of Sparks, NV; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

     Romayne was a member of East End United Methodist Church for many years. 

      Friends will be received at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 6th Avenue, Altoona, PA on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 4:00 PM t0 7:00 PM and Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating.  Internment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
