Sei Yamaguchi “Sue” Leandri, 91 formerly of Altoona died Thursday evening January 12, 2017 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.

            She was born November 25, 1925 in Nagano-Ken, Japan.

She married Robert E. Leandri on March 11, 1954 in Yokohama, Japan. He preceded her in death January 13, 1996.

            Surviving are a son Rene E. Leandri and his wife Jackie of Altoona; three grandchildren, Jordan Leandri (Sarah) of Spring Hill, KS; Jessica Rowe (Chris) and April Leandri all of Altoona; three great grandchildren, Braden Leandri of Denver, CO; Noah and Isaac Leandri both of Spring Hill, KS; a sister, Tei Yamaguchi of Tokyo, Japan; and numerous close friends.

            Sue was preceded in death by a son, Joseph William Leandri on December 24, 2013.

            Mrs. Leandri attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.

            She retired as a seamstress from The Main Event Bridal Shop in Leesburg, FL.

            Sue was happy to attend the swimming program at the Hollidaysburg YMCA.

            She was adventurous and went sky-diving at 86 years of age with her family .

            Friends will be received from 5-6 p.m. Monday January 16, 2017 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Terrance Smith officiating. Sue will be laid to rest beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
