Wadid A. “Woody’ Miller, 57 of Duncansville went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly Friday September 15, 2017 in Anne Arundel, MD.
He was born February 18, 1960 in Altoona a son of the late Justus Paul and Shirley Marie (Betar) Miller.
Surviving are four siblings, brother Justus Paul Miller, II and his wife, Laurie of Duncansville; brother James F. Miller and his wife Penny of Altoona; sister Taylor M. Miller of Duncansville; and sister Clarissa A. “Crissi” Miller of Mt. Joy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Miller was a 1978 graduate of Altoona Area High School and attended LeTourneau University, Longview, TX.
Woody was currently employed as a motor coach driver for Fullington Bus Lines.
He enjoyed golfing with friends, cooking and hanging out with his friends and family. He was fondly known by his family as “Bubba”.
Woody was a commissioner for the Great Chevy Shootout for over fifteen years and also had been a commissioner for the Dean Patterson Little League World Series for over 20 years.
Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Thursday September 21, 2017 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary G. Dull officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Way of Truth Ministries, 315 Fortieth Street, Altoona, PA 16602 or to Blair County Christian School, 1140 Foot of Ten Road, Duncansville, PA 16635.
