Arthur R. “Art” Kulik, 75 of Altoona died Friday evening December 28, 2018 at his residence.
He was born April 26, 1943 in Altoona a son of the late Adolph and Mary (Oleska) Kulik. He was twice married, first to Linda Rutolo in 1961, and then to Mary (Crotsley) Wyland who preceded him in death March 17, 2015.
Surviving are five children, daughter Darla Suder (Dave); daughter Lisa Reading (Fred) all of San Diego, CA; son Arthur “Jim” Kulik (Kris) of Altoona; daughter Lynn Enos (Martin) of Virginia; daughter Trisha Foor (Mark) of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren, Tia, Michele, Michael, Luke, Jacob and Bree; four great grandchildren, Ava, Addison, Everly and Caleb; a sister, Philomena Giorgianni of Altoona; best friend since 1949 and business partner, Jeffrey Burgmeier; and former wife, Linda Yingling.
Art was preceded in death by a sister, Anna and a brother, Adolph.
He was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School.
Mr. Kulik was the founder and owner of American Roofing. He was formerly employed by Union Roofing.
Art enjoyed spending time with his son; fixing up old homes; and working on and driving hot rod cars.
He was a member of the Newburg Fire Company Social Hall; a life member of the Heidelberg Country Club and the Bavarian Aid Society; a member of the Juniata VFW and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Friends will be received from 10-11 am Friday January 4, 2018 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602.
