Donna Jean (Shaw) Mountain

Donna Jean Mountain, 64 of Altoona died Monday morning January 28, 2019 at her residence.   

            She was born December 14, 1954 in Altoona a daughter of the late Robert D. and Mary P. (Pfahler) Shaw. She married Jay Mountain who survives her.

            Surviving are her significant other of 30 years, Tracy D. Burd of Altoona; two children, son Daniel Snyder and daughter Melissa Shaw; three grandchildren; a brother, Dennis R. Shaw (Kay) of Antis Township; and numerous extended family.

            Donna was employed locally in domestic care for many years.

            She enjoyed painting, taking care of people, animals, especially dogs, attending car shows with Tracy and going for rides.

            Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Friday February 1, 2019 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Grane Hospice Care Altoona, 115 Union Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.
