Edward William “Ed” Rickabaugh, 68, of Altoona died Wednesday afternoon March 7, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 4, 1949 in Altoona a son of the late Robert Laverne and Catherine Elizabeth (Goodrow) Rickabaugh.
Surviving are his beloved, Debbie L. Graham; his fur baby Freedom; six children, daughter Tina M. Ross and fiance Doug Sprankle; daughter, Jennifer M. Graham; daughter Patricia D. “Trish” Graham; son, John D. Graham and his wife, Jennifer; son, Jesse M. Rickabaugh; daughter, Roberta A. Wombacher all of Altoona; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Robert L. Rickabaugh of Madera; sister, Rhonda Rickabaugh of Altoona; sister, Betty Lou Delozier and her husband, Roy of Altoona.
Edward was preceded in death by a son, Edward William Rickabaugh, Jr. and a grandson, Jordan Tyler Graham.
Mr. Rickabaugh was a US Marine Corps veteran serving during the Viet Nam war.
Ed worked at Conrail as a conductor and had been employed in various other positions.
He enjoyed wood-working, watching horror movies, and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday March 12, 2018 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Cindy Hoover officiating.
Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
