Howard Allen McPhee, 80 of Altoona died Monday morning January 30, 2017 at his residence.

            He was born October 8, 1936 in Altoona, a son of the late John and Mildred (Eberst) McPhee.

            He married Donna Joyce Wallace on June 28, 1969 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2016.

            Surviving are his son, Allen McPhee of Altoona; two brothers, William and Robert McPhee; and a sister Patricia (Charles) Barley.

           He retired in 1993 as a machinist from F.L. Smithe Machine Company.

           Howard was a U.S. Army Veteran.

           He enjoyed woodworking, target practice, flea markets, and car shows.

          He was a formal member of Bellwood Sportsmen’s Association and the Blair Co. Game, Fish, and Forestry Assoc., Inc.
          At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or funeral services.
