Jack A. Sunderland, 88 of Altoona died April 25, 2017 at UPMC Altoona.  

               He was born February 20, 1929 in Altoona a son of the late Samuel and Mabel (Graham) Sunderland. He married Louise Frye on June 21, 1974 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on October 22, 2014.

               Surviving are his daughter, Annette; a son Roy Sunderland; five step-sons, Terry Wilkes and wife Amy, Larry Wilkes, Rick Wilkes, Jack Wilkes, and Bill Wilkes; a step-daughter, Dianne Little and her husband Dave; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

               He was preceded in death by a son, Jack Sunderland, Jr.

               Jack was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

               He was a Bus Driver for the city of Altoona.

               Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday May 1, 2017 at Fairview United Methodist Church, 2214-5th Street Altoona, where a funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Schwartzman officiating.

               Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
