James Porter Myers, IV

            James Porter Myers, IV, 21 of Altoona died Wednesday August 14, 2019 at UPMC Altoona.

            He was born August 16, 1997 in Altoona a son of Kelley Lynne (Counsel) Myers and the late James Porter Myers, III.

            Surviving are his mother, Kelley L. Weigand of Altoona; a brother Robert J. Weigand of Altoona; a half-sister Jessi Miner of Florida; a sister Ashley Weigand-Francois of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews, Jareth Moudy, Hudson Moudy, Davion Francois, Nyla Francois, Cruz Francois, Ava Colyer and King Francois; special friends, Josh, Cameron, Jeff, Jesse and Dakota; several loving aunts and uncles; and a special brother-in-law, Jean “Lucky” Francois of Altoona.

            James was preceded in death by his father; also by his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Janet Counsel and paternal grandparents Robert and Betty Myers.

            He immensely enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. James also enjoyed hanging out with his friends; Xbox, PlayStation, sewing, painting, and music.

            Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday August 20, 2019 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona.
