Jean Yvonne Dey, 95, died Sunday morning September 30, 2018 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born January 18, 1923 in Columbus, Georgia a daughter of the late Walter Arthur, Sr. and Mary Esther (Kinsey) Brown. She married Herbert R. Dey, Jr. on January 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in January 1971.
Surviving are three children, son Steven A. Dey and his wife Deb; son Ronald P. Dey and his wife Monika; daughter Sandra L. Fishell all of Altoona; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Dansby and Martha Tillery and a sister-in-law, Joyce Brown all of Georgia.
Jean was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Edward E. Fishell; four brothers, Herbert, Jack, Melvin and Leonard Brown and a sister, Edna and her husband, Frank.
Mrs. Dey was a member of Altoona First Church of the Brethren.
She retired as a seamstress from Tritex Sportswear.
Jean loved her children, making clothes and working with church youth programs.
Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2018 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Bill Pepper officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
