Josephine Marie "Jo" (Fusco) Estright

            Josephine Marie “Jo” Estright, 89 of Altoona passed away August 2, 2019 at UPMC Altoona following a brief illness.

            She was born April 27, 1930 in Altoona a daughter of the late James G. and Mary (Trush) Fusco. She married Harry M. “Buddy” Estright, Jr. on September 20, 1952 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death March 2, 2018.

            Surviving are daughter Claudia S. Wilson and her husband Edward of Tyrone; son Harry M. “Mick” Estright, III of Florida; son Brian P. Estright and his wife Cathy of Hollidaysburg; son Terrence M. “Terry” Estright and his wife Lauree of Wyoming; five grandchildren, Anitra (Wilson) Duey and her husband Lael of Tyrone; Brittany Wilson of Tyrone; Allison (Estright) Vasinko and her husband Joseph of Ligonier; Stephen Estright of Pittsburgh; and Evan Estright of Wyoming; six great grandchildren, Micaylee, Zenovia, Caleb, Isabella and Zadok Duey and Hunter (Wilson) Kisko; and a very special niece Marcia (Miller) Fink and her husband Fred of Tyrone.

            Jo was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine L. (Fusco) Miller, and grandsons Justin Estright and Clint Wilson, and her stepfather Frank Rispoli.

            Josephine was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. She then graduated from Philipsburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1952.

            Jo was a Registered Nurse having worked in OB/Gyn at Mercy Hospital and Altoona Hospital. She then worked for many years for Dr. Benjamin C. Jenkins of Altoona until her retirement.

            She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, making doll clothes for her grandchildren, planting flowers and just enjoying the outdoors.

            At the request of the deceased, private viewing and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

            Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
