Kimberly A. “Kimmy” Kephart, 51, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

            She was born September 13, 1965 in Philadelphia, daughter of Bruce and the late Linda (Kelly) Kephart. Her mother preceded her in death on March 15, 2004.

            Surviving are her father, Bruce; two sisters: Kathy of Ephrata, and Kelly of Altoona; a brother, Kevin of Surf City, N.C.; a niece; and two nephews.

            For the past 22 years, Kimmy resided at Mattern House with her housemates. She enjoyed going to Adult Center for Exceptional Learning daily, where she enjoyed being with friends, especially her program assistant, Theresa.

            The family sincerely thanks the staff and caregivers at Mattern House and ACEL for their years of loving care and support. 

          At the wish of her mother, there was no viewing. She was interned near her mom at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. They are together, now. A private service will be held for immediate family and caregivers. Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
