Pearl A. Wolfinger, 98, formerly of Altoona died Friday morning September 27, 2019 at The Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born March 27, 1921 in Altoona a daughter of the late Rebecca H. (Kochenour) Grove and stepfather Mason R. Grove. She married Robert Leroy Wolfinger on August 24, 1946 in Altoona. He preceded her in death June 10, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter Connie Jane Ballos and her husband Nicholas of Altoona; three grandchildren, Nicole M. Ballos (Michael Thompson) of East Norriton; Matthew N. Ballos and his wife Fawne and their children, Lena and Theodore of Hollidaysburg; Lindsey M. Freedman and her husband Matthew and their children, Harper and Hannah of Warrington; and a stepbrother Mason E. Grove of Michigan.
Mrs. Wolfinger was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Altoona.
She was 1939 graduate of Altoona High School.
Pearl was employed as a trimmer at Saf-T-Bak for five years and previously had been employed at Boyer Brothers Candy.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday October 1, 2019 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday October 2, 2019 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 200 Third Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Drew McCaffery officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
