Stella L. McNelly

                Stella L. McNelly, 64 of Altoona died Tuesday April 17, 2018 at home.

                She was born May 26, 1953 in Farmville, VA, a daughter of the late Floyd V. McAbee and Stella C. (Lonesky) Wood.

                Surviving are her mom, Stella with whom she resided; step-dad, William F. Wood; a son W. Travis Boyles and wife Susan; a daughter, Christina L. Boyles and fiancé Marcus; four grandchildren, Emily, Sara, Hannah, Kyle; four siblings, Betty Woleslagle and husband Leonard, Floyd McAbee and wife Sandy, Mary Cunningham and husband Dave, Doug McAbee and wife Laura; step-sister, Shirley Beatty and husband Bob; many nieces and nephews; good friends, Bob and Debbie Howard; three cats, Buddy, Precious and White Socks.

                She was preceded in death by a brother, James McAbee and step-sister, Donna Unverdoarben.

                She was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church.

                Stella retired from Valley View Nursing Home after 12 years of service.

                She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, bingo, working in the yard and planting flowers. She also loved cats.

                Friends will be received Friday April 20, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Blair Memorial Park, where a memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m.  with Pastor Bill Ice officiating.
