Thomas Arthur Beatty

             Thomas A. “Snakeman” Beatty, 59 of Altoona died early Thursday morning March 14, 2019 at his residence.

             He was born March 26, 1959 in Altoona a son of the late Arthur and Emma (Bishop) Beatty. He married Rhonda L. Hartz on September 16, 1988 in Winchester, VA.

            Surviving are his wife, Rhonda; his mother, Emma Beatty of Altoona; a son, Adam J. Nash of York; three grandchildren, Kasie, Jarad and Alexis; and a sister, Suzie Frates and her husband John of Florida.

            Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Patty and a brother, Robert.

            He was a 1977 graduate of Altoona High School.

            He enjoyed rattlesnake hunting and was an avid mushroom hunter and all-around outdoorsman.

            At his request there will be no viewing or funeral services.

            “Turn the damn TV, computers and phone off! Get outside! Enjoy the woods, mountains and rivers. Go for a walk, ride or take a hike!”
