Timothy P. Kling, 81, Altoona, died Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
He was born in January 31, 1937 Altoona, son of the late James and Geraldine (Runk) Kling. On Dec. 27, 1958, he married Carol Ann Krape at Fairview United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; four children: Kimberly (Don) Ferguson of Altoona, Timothy (Janice) Kling of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Richard (Terrie) Kling of Altoona and Sandy (Duane) Cubbage of Chincoteague, Va.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: James, William and Joseph Kling; and a special nephew and niece: Paul “P.J.” Eckenrod and Diana “Dee” Carney.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brent Kling; and two sisters: Joan King and Linda Eckenrod.
Tim was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School and he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church and a life time member of the Bavarian Aide Society.
Tim enjoyed puzzles, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
