Alan R. Capps, 44, of Altoona died Friday evening August 4, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
He was born August 31, 1978, in Altoona, a son of the late Alvin Capps and Bonnie L. (Plowman) Capps. He married Stacie M. Lundberg on May 2, 2022, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Stacie; his parents, William I. and Bonnie L. Keith of Altoona; four children, Allysha M. McIntyre (Patrick S., Jr.) of Tyrone, Aaron W. Capps of Hollidaysburg, Amelia L. Capps of Altoona, Caiden A. Capps of Altoona; two step-daughters, Jensen A. Dow of Ebensburg, and Jaycie A. Frederick of Nanty Glo; two grandchildren, Patrick McIntyre, and Weston Capps; and a sister, Brandie L. Piper (Adrian) of Altoona.
Alan was a 1996 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
He was employed as a dispatcher for CLI Transport, LP division of Sheetz since 2011.
Alan had a zest for life and loved to laugh. His greatest joy was being a devoted husband to the love of his life, loving father and grandfather. Everything he achieved in life was for his family.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 10, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Bottenfield officiating.
