Antonietta "Toni" James Obituary

            Antonietta “Toni” James, 56 of Altoona died unexpectedly Tuesday evening May 12, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.         

            She was born December 15, 1963 in Mount Vernon, NY a daughter of Raymond Louis and Joan Catherine (Santopietro) Giantelli. She married David W. James on May 11, 2013 in Altoona.

            Surviving are her husband, Dave; three children, son Mario J. Dipippo of Altoona; daughter Nicole G. Glunt (Tyler) of Newry; daughter Danielle Dipippo (fiancé Lane Burk) of Altoona; four grandchildren, Easton D. Glunt, Landon G. Burk, Kaden V. Burk and Avelynn N. Burk; her parents of Shrub Oak, NY; two sisters, Mary Ostrander (Al) of Newburg, NY and Patricia Righetti (Louis “Louie”) of Granite Springs, NY; two sisters-in-law, Carol Giantelli of West Haven, CT and Adelaide Giantelli of Rockville, MD; and her dog, “Honey”.

            Toni was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Louis Giantelli, Jr. and Joseph Michael Giantelli.

            She was a 1981 graduate of Mount Vernon High School.

            Toni was employed as a hairstylist for nearly forty years most recently working at Fine Cuts in Altoona.

            She enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping and riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Dave when they were able.

            There will be no viewing.

            A future Celebration of Life service is planned, notice of which will appear in a future edition of the Altoona Mirror.

            The family suggests memorial donations please be made to one of Toni’s favorite causes, the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602.
