Arlene Virginia (Peffer) Neal

            Arlene Virginia Neal, 86 of Epworth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Tyrone, formerly of Bellwood, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning January 2, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born August 17, 1934 in Altoona a daughter of the late Elvin M. and Iome C. (Lowers) Peffer.

            Surviving are numerous cousins living in many different locales.

            Arlene retired as a sales representative from JC Penney.

            She was very personable and had many friends. Arlene was known for her stylish flair in her appearance. She was active in serving the Lord in her church and especially enjoyed working with young people. Her interests included cooking and baking in which she shared dishes with others and had a love for dogs. In addition to working at JC Penney’s, Arlene was a teacher’s aide at the former Calvary Baptist Christian Academy and was a volunteer for Contact Altoona hotline. Arlene loved being with family and would often bring a new food dish to share at gatherings. Though she will be missed here, we know she is experiencing the presence of Jesus in heaven.

            There will be no viewing or funeral service.

            Interment will be made at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Trauger, PA.
