Barbara Sue "Susie" (Rouzer) Benjamin

            Barbara Sue “Susie” Benjamin, 75 of Altoona died Monday August 17, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born October 22, 1944 in Altoona a daughter of the late Phil Rouzer and Shirley M. (Browand) Rouzer Peterman.

            Surviving are her brother, David P. Peterman (Carol) of Bellwood and seven step-children.

            Susie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Eric McLanahan and her former husband, Cletus T. Benjamin, Sr.

            She was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

            She retired from Blair Medical Associates, Bellwood and had previously taught German in school for many years.

            Susie enjoyed ceramics, knitting, cooking and baking.

            She was a member of the Altoona Order of the Eastern Star.

            At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral service.

            Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
