Betty Louise (Coffman) Everhart

            Betty Louise Everhart, 91 of Altoona died Friday evening November 4, 2022, at Guardian Healthcare – Hillview.

            She was born March 7, 1931, in Altoona a daughter of the late Sheldon R. and Katherine (Beatty) Coffman. She married Merle L. Everhart on July 15, 1950. He preceded her in death September 19, 2011.

            Surviving are two sons, Bruce S. Everhart, and Jeffery G. Everhart; a granddaughter, Heather D. Mika (Christopher), and a grandson, Brent S. Everhart; two great granddaughters, Isabel and Ava Mika, all of Altoona; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

            Betty was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Beverly A. Everhart on February 10, 2012; a sister, Joan Waby; and a brother, Sheldon Richard “Dick” Coffman.

            Mrs. Everhart was past member of the former Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church.

            Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling to the family cottage at Newton-Hamilton, following politics, and her pets.

            Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Monday November 14, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Carol Gathagan officiating.

            Interment will be made at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona.
