Betty Jane (Willis) Shultzaberger

            Betty Jane Shultzaberger, 95, formerly of Altoona, died Wednesday morning November 4, 2020 at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

            She was born April 17, 1925 in Altoona a daughter of the late John and Grace Willis.

            Surviving are three daughters, Sharon L. Wozniak of San Diego, CA; Janie A. Schaffner (Geoffrey) of Long Island, NY; and Diane L. Vellner of Altoona; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Brettschneider of Akron, OH.

            Ms. Shultzaberger was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Altoona where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Omega Fellowship and the Ladies Bible Study, and worked preparing meals for the church and the community. She loved her church and loved all of God’s amazing creations, especially flowers.

            Betty was a 1943 graduate of Altoona High School.

            She had previously been employed as a cook at the VA Home; an assistant to former State Representative Ed Johnson; and a seamstress at the Bride and Groom Specialty Shop.

            She loved her cats and watching “Judge Judy”.

            At the request of the deceased, services will be held at the convenience of the family.
