Camilla J. Palazzi, 88, of Altoona, died Monday afternoon October 18, 2021, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born December 18, 1932, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Angelo and Fenisia (Rossetti) Pacifico. On April 14, 1951, she married Enrico G. “Rego” Palazzi at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2000.
Surviving are two children, son David J. Palazzi (Deb) and daughter Paula M. Palazzi (Frank) all of Altoona; three grandchildren: Brianna, Alex (Sarah), and Caitlyn; one great-grandson: Dominic; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by five siblings: Elizabeth Panagoplos and Alfred, Dante, Ralph, and Leonard Pacifico.
Camilla was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
She retired as a pattern inspector for Butterick in 1994 after more than 30 years’ service.
Camilla enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, gardening, and was active with the annual church festivals. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Secular Franciscans Order.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a vigil service for the deceased will be held during the visitation.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona with Rev. Christopher Panagoplos, TOR officiating.
Committal rites will be held privately at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona with entombment to follow.
The family requests all Covid-19 protocols and precautions be followed for safety, including mask usage and social distancing.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Organ Fund, 806 11th Street, Altoona, PA 16602.
