Carol Ann Kyle

            Carol Ann Kyle, 80, died Wednesday morning, April 27, 2022, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

            Born on May 23, 1941, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Lola Rice. She was married to Darwin L. Kyle. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2001.

            Surviving are five children: William J. Lightner, Jaqueline A. George, Michael P. Kyle (Liesl), Robert “Buddy” Kyle, Thomas B. Kyle (Autumn); eight grandchildren: Ashley and Josh Lightner, Bryant Burgmeier, Rowan, Griffin, Nolan, Kristine, and Cassie Kyle; two great-grandchildren; Julian and Roslyn Lightner; brothers Jack Massar and Harry Killinger and numerous extended family members and friends.

            She was preceded in death by sister, Dolly Rice and brother, Pat Massar. 

            Mrs. Kyle was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

            Carol enjoyed taking walks, was an avid animal lover, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

            Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m.; interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Carol can be made to Central PA Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.
