Dennis Capriotti Obituary

            Dennis W. “Denny” Capriotti, 78 of Harrisburg, formerly of Altoona, died early Wednesday morning September 2, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg.

            He was born May 14, 1942 in Altoona a son of the late Dr. John Anthony and Diane Gloria (DiGiacobbe) Capriotti. He married Sandra L. Weber on September 21, 1974 at Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

            Surviving are his wife, Sandy; two daughters, Robin Bouder (Mike) and Stephanie Capriotti; a grandson, Carson Bouder; a brother, Dr. Robert Capriotti (Marlene) of Houston, TX; a sister, Bernice Newberry (William “Bill”) of Altoona; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Capriotti; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

            Denny was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Richard Capriotti.

            Mr. Capriotti was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

            He was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School and was also a graduate of Parsons College and Mid-Western University.

            He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of Specialist 5.

            Denny retired as a Counselor II from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

            He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and sports of all types.

            A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

            Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
