Dolores Marie "Dee" Lee

        Dolores Marie “Dee” Lee, 84, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday September 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1937 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Peter A. and Gertrude B. “Viola” (DiRemiggio) Laganella.

        She married Edward O. Lee Jr. on June 30, 1962, in Altoona. Edward preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1992. 

        Surviving are her two children, Edward O. Lee III and Sylvia L. Colyer and her husband, Randy, all of Altoona; her two favorite “meatballs,” her grandsons, Ryan L. and Zachary L. Colyer, both of Altoona; two stepdaughters, Karen Pacifico (Mark) and Edwarda Lee; her sister, Louise A. Fink of Wadsworth, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  

        Dee was preceded in death by a sister, Judith D. Stoltz. 

        Mrs. Lee was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona. She was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School and then attended school to train as a certified nurse’s aide. 

        Dolores enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing cards, and traveling to Florida with her sister. She also enjoyed Penn State football and watching all Pittsburgh sports, including the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. She especially enjoyed watching Ryan and Zachary play football for the Bishop Guilfoyle High School team. Dolores, most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family. 

        Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Lubomir Strecok officiating. 

        Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
