Obituary
Donald G. Myers, 87, of Altoona died Thursday evening July 6, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
He was born June 25, 1936, in Altoona, a son of the late James and Sara (Weld) Myers. He married Bettelou Weicenburg on February 3, 1962, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; three children, Donald Scott Myers (Amy Jo Burrows) of Altoona, David William Myers (Jeni) of Cresson, Diane Marie Clawson (Ron) of Altoona; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
Don was preceded in death by two brothers, James, and Raymond.
Mr. Myers was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from June 1954 to May 1957.
Don retired from the die-casting department of Veeder-Root Company.
He was an avid softball player, and he also enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and camping.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral services.
