Donna Ecker Obituary

            Donna Jean Ecker, 84, of Altoona, died Friday, January 28, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born November 9, 1937 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Isaac E. and Gladys M. (Kerlin) Noye. She married John W. Ecker on January 12, 1957, in Winchester, Virginia. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1998.

            Surviving are four children: Jeannie Walters (Lonnie) of Altoona, Doreen D. Reed (David) of Arizona, Vicky M. McChessney (Randy) of Altoona, and Michael R. Ecker (Freda); twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two siblings: Robert Noye and Grace Foust; a stepson: Robert Dunn; and numerous extended family members and friends.

            She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mitchell Reed in 1995, a brother, William Noye in 2012, and an infant brother in 1950.

            Mrs. Ecker was a member of Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville.

She attended Altoona High School.

            Donna retired from Tritex Sportswear, where she was one of the first employees hired by the company.

            She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, taking trips to Belleville to buy flowers, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

            A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
