Dorothy Jane Price

Dorothy Jane “Dot” Price, 86 of Altoona died peacefully Wednesday November 17, 2021, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

            She was born October 6, 1935, in Williamsburg a daughter of the late William and Martha (Shade) Clawson. She married Thomas Richard Price on October 22, 1953, in Winchester, VA.

            Surviving are her husband of 68 years; three children, daughter Sharon L. Rodriguez; son Thomas R. Price, Jr. (Brandy) of Altoona; daughter Diana L. Price of Altoona; four grandchildren, Jessica M. Lindsey; Harley L. Price; Sadie C. Price all of Altoona; Taylor Price of Charlotte, NC; a great-granddaughter, Harlow; and a brother Ronald Clawson of Roaring Spring.

            Dot was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Barnes and three brothers, Richard, Robert, and James Clawson.

            Mrs. Price attended Williamsburg High School.

            She was previously employed by Dave’s Dream as a carhop on roller skates where she met Thomas. She was then employed by the former S.K.F. Industries, Altoona, following that, she became a full-time homemaker.

            Dot enjoyed cooking and shopping. She most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary.

            There will be no viewing.

            A future Celebration of Life for Dot is planned to be held at a later date.

            Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
