Edward Luther “Ed” Noye, 64, Altoona, passed away Saturday February 20, 2021.
He was born June 30, 1956 in Altoona, son of William Luther and Hazel Mae “Midge” (Worley) Noye.
Surviving are his fiancée, Jody Marie Frantz, of Altoona; a son, William Luther Noye III and wife, Lori, of Altoona; four siblings: Melody L. Fink and husband, Artie, of Altoona, William David “Dave” Noye and wife, Angie, of Marietta, Pa., Mary L. Reed and husband, Russ, of Tyrone, and James R. “Jim” and wife, Beth, of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Leslie Noye; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: William L. Jr. and Timothy L. Noye.
Ed graduated from Holidaysburg Area High School in 1974. He retired from Giant Eagle as a stock clerk. He was the previous owner of Keystone Sanitation and a driver for Pepsi.
He was a volunteer at Sandy Ridge Driving Range in Greenwood. Ed enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.
Ed will forever be remembered as Jody’s sidekick.
Friends will be received from 4 until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, Father Brian Saylor officiating. Internment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
