Gary Edward Lardieri, 67, Altoona, died Friday afternoon December 27, 2019 at UPMC East, Monroeville.
He was born May 20, 1952 in Altoona, son of the late Frank Edward Sr. and Amanda Isabel (Fry) Lardieri. On July 20, 2002, he married Lisa Marie Shaffer in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa; three children: Kristen Lardieri of San Antonio, Texas, Anthony Lardieri of Johnstown and Morgan Lardieri at home; a granddaughter, Shaeyla Lardieri; six sisters: Carole Musselman, Deborah Choros, Kathy Lardieri, Vicki McAleer and Rebecca Lardieri, all of Altoona and Theresa Shoemaker in Texas; and numerous extended family.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Audrey, Daniel, Frank Jr. and Michael Lardieri.
Mr Lardieri was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona.
He was a 1971 graduate of Altoona Area High School. Gary retired as a driver from Blair Senior Services after many years' service.
Gary was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Pitt football fan. He enjoyed softball and watching his daughter, Morgan, play softball. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Bryce.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service outside of Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Lubomir Strecock officiating. Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park.
