Harold A. Myers, 80, of Altoona, died Monday afternoon March 21, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.
He was born October 30, 1941, in Altoona, a son of the late Alvin J. and Anita C. (Pee) Myers.
Surviving are three children: John Myers of Altoona, Beth Ann (Myers) Summers of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Robert Myers of Altoona; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three siblings: Paul J. Myers (Linda) of Duncansville, Pauline C. Wilson of Altoona, and Gerald G. “Jerry” Myers (Pauline M.) of Altoona; a special friend, Shirley “Dolly” McIntyre; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie (McGeary) Myers, his second wife, Mae Myers, and a daughter, Anita (Myers) Richards.
Harold was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was drafted into the United States Army, proudly serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was formerly employed by Veeder-Root Company, Altoona Pipe & Steel Supply Company, and then retired from General Cable Industries in Altoona.
Harold enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets. He was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a member of Newburg Firehall.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor John Collins officiating.
Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.
