Harry McQuillen “Bud” Estright, Jr., 87, of Altoona died Friday evening March 2, 2018 at Golden Living Center-Hillview.
He was born May 29, 1930 in Penns Grove, New Jersey a son of the late Harry M., Sr. and Lola M. (Croll) Estright. He married Josephine Marie Fusco on September 20, 1952.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Jo; four children, daughter, Claudia Wilson and her husband Edward of Tyrone; son, Harry M. “Mickey” Estright, III of Florida; son, Brian Estright and his wife, Cathy of Hollidaysburg; Terence “Terry” Estright and his wife, Laurie of Wyoming; five grandchildren, Anitra Duey and her husband, Lael of Tyrone; Brittany Wilson of Tyrone; Allison Estright of Ligonier; Stephen Estright of Pittsburgh; Evan Estright of Wyoming; six great grandchildren, Micaylee Duey, Zenovia Duey, Caleb Duey, Isabella Duey, Zadok Duey and Hunter (Wilson) Kisko all of Tyrone.
Harry was preceded in death by five sisters and two grandsons, Justin Estright and Clint Wilson.
Bud was the last surviving member of his family.
Mr. Estright is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Altoona.
He attended school in the Altoona Area School District.
He retired as a representative for Blair Candy Company in 1995 after 28 years’ service. He had formerly been employed by Doeskin Paper Company. He also had been employed by his son Brian at Car Circus in Altoona.
Bud was a member of Hiram Lodge #616, F. & A.M.; Valley of Altoona, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite bodies; Jaffa Shrine where he was a member and past quartermaster for 9 years of the Jaffa Patrol/Directors Staff. He was also a member of the Jaffa Roadrunners having made numerous trips to the Erie Shriners Hospital.
At the request of the deceased, private viewing and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
Memorial donations in memory of Harry be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
