Jack Helsel Obituary

On April 25, 2020, Jack Lester Helsel, 61, Altoona, a loving father and husband, went to be with the Lord.

Jack was born February 16, 1959 in Altoona, son of Herbert and Delores Strohman. He was married to Pearl (Himes) Helsel and together they raised a son, Tom.

Jack enjoyed walking and spending time with his friends and family. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hollidaysburg, where he enjoyed worship, fellowship and prayer meetings.

Jack was known for his quiet disposition and kind spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; and a sister, Cynthia (Helsel) Reif.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl; his son, Thomas “Tom” Mock; two grandchildren: Arlo Jackson Mock and Kaydence Grace Mock; and a sister, Linda (Helsel) Strobert.

There will be no memorial service.
