James T. "Slim Jim" "Jimmy" Moyer

            James T. “Slim Jim” “Jimmy” Moyer, Jr., 36 of Altoona died unexpectedly Monday afternoon June 19, 2023, at his residence following an extended medical condition.

            He was born November 17, 1986, in Altoona a son of the late Brenda A. (Shannon) DeStefano and James T. Moyer, Sr. Surviving are his father; four siblings, brother Joseph D. DeStefano (Brandi Weaver) of Warriors Mark and their children, Parker J. DeStefano (15), Piper D. DeStefano (11), and Paisley Mae DeStefano (5); sister, Tanya L. DeStefano of Newport and her children, Makayla P. Gauntner (20), and Aerial T. L. DeStefano (16); brother Nicklas J. Moyer (Renee Hollern) of Altoona; brother Donald P. Moyer (Cici) of Altoona and their children, Donald P. Moyer, Jr., (9), Asasin J. Moyer (6), Brezlyn G. A. Moyer (5), Laiklyn N. Moyer (3); grandparents Lois Jean and Robert Kelley of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

            Before his illness, Jimmy was employed as a painter alongside his father.

            He enjoyed rebuilding computers, fishing, and cleaning his home.

            He truly loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, and loved being their uncle.

            Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday July 5, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m.
