Janet Ferguson Obituary

            Janet Eileen Ferguson, 63 of Daisytown died unexpectedly Monday morning May 25, 2020 at her residence.

            She was born October 5, 1956 in Altoona a daughter of the late John Walter and Marjorie Ruth (Krape) Bigelow. She married Raymond Eugene Ferguson in January of 1978 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death October 8, 2000.

            Surviving are three children, son John W. Ferguson of Altoona; daughter Kristine Rae Walls (Roy) of Daisytown; daughter Amy L. McNeal (Andrew) of Altoona; eleven grandchildren, Sara Walls, Madison Ferguson, Emily Geist, Alison Geist, Braeden Ferguson, Gavin Ferguson, Riley Ferguson, Japheth McNeal, Garrett Ferguson, Drew Ferguson and Jayven McNeal; two great grandchildren, Maisyn Jean Popish and Luke Walls; a brother, Doug Bigelow (Sallie) of New York; a sister, Jeanne Bass (Wally) of Florida; a sister, Carol Jo Bigelow of New York; a brother-in-law, Don Ferguson (Kim) of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

            Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

            She was a graduate of Lakeshore High School, Evans, NY and attended Penn State University.

            Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, craft shows and knitting.

            There will be no viewing.      

            A future Celebration of Life is planned to be held at Second Avenue United Methodist Church.

            Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for the family would be appreciated and may be sent to the funeral home.
