Janet Lorraine Otto, 88, of Altoona, died early Saturday morning April 2, 2022, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.
She was born April 11, 1933, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Marshall and Mary (Teufel) White. She was twice married, first to Howard C. Himes Sr., who preceded her in death in 2012 and then married to Dean Otto, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three children: Bonnie L. Morrow of Altoona, Nancy L. Adams (Joe) of Melbourne, Florida, and Howard C. Himes, Jr. of Riggles Gap; four grandchildren: Kevin, Heather, Craig, and Ashley; two great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by four siblings: Raymond, Norman, and Mary Louise White, and Hazel Burley.
Janet was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School. She was employed as a surgical technician at Mercy Hospital until her retirement in 1995.
She enjoyed watching old movie and westerns, crafting Christmas ornaments and wreaths, traveling, and spending time with her friends.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
