JoAnn Reifsteck, 86 of Altoona died early Sunday morning June 11, 2023, at Graystone Manor Altoona.
She was born September 27, 1936, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (McCune) Greiner. She married Martin William “Bill” Reifsteck on December 22, 1959, in Altoona. He preceded her in death February 3, 2011.
Surviving are a brother-in-law, Robert R. Reifsteck of Altoona, a sister-in-law, Jean Ann White of Florida, a brother-in-law, Marvin Reifsteck of Altoona; cousin Richard K. McCune and his wife Darlene of Duncansville, their three children, Beth (McCune) Johnson and her husband Rabon and daughter Carina Johnson of Maryland; Jennifer (McCune) DiAndreth and her husband Pastor Mark of Delmont and sons Zachary DiAndreth (Becca Houghton) of Ebensburg and Dominic DiAndreth of Delmont; Brian McCune and his wife Shelley of Roaring Spring; and cousin Susan L. McCune of Denver, CO; several nieces and nephews; and life-long friend Margie Diehl and her daughter Carole Diehl of Greenwood.
Mrs. Reifsteck was a member of the former Simpson-Temple United Parish, Altoona.
She was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School.
JoAnn was previously employed by Altoona Federal Savings & Loan.
She was an active member of the Jaffa Shrine Widows group.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday June 16, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark DiAndreth officiating.
Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
