Judith Ann “Judy” Butterbaugh, 79 of Tyrone died Saturday afternoon October 24, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born August 30, 1941 in Altoona a daughter of the late George Edward, Sr., and Mary Madeline (Lucretia) Heller.
Surviving are a son, David Butterbaugh and a daughter, Dorothy “Jean” Butterbaugh both at home; a son, Ron Butterbaugh (Georgia) of Tyrone; a son, John Butterbaugh (Wendy) of Juniata, Altoona; six grandchildren; and Robert Butterbaugh of Allentown who was very special to Judy.
Judy was preceded in death by a brother, George Heller and sisters, Helen McMonigal, Betty Woytowiez, Carol Shawley, Bernadine Daughenbaugh and Barbara Woodley.
She was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School.
She retired as the owner of Rain Gard Spouting and previously had been employed as a secretary at the Altoona Hospital in various departments for many years.
Judy enjoyed vacations at the beach and she also enjoyed casino trips.
She was a member of the Bellwood Women’s Club and TOPS of Altoona.
Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Thursday October 29, 2020 and 10-11 a.m. Friday October 30, 2020 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. Howard Shawley officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
