Linda L. “LaLa” Hallman, 71 of Altoona died Thursday evening January 23, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born September 8, 1948 in Altoona a daughter of the late Joseph Winfield and Louise Agnes (Hudson) Hallman. She married Carol M. Hurliman on September 8, 2014 in Altoona.
Surviving are her wife, Carol; a sister, Judy Carey (Patrick) of Altoona; niece Tracie L. Lee (Daryl) of Altoona; niece Jamie C. Wallen (Kevin) of Petersburg; great nieces Darby Lee and Darcy Lee both of Altoona; great nephews Will Wallen and Elias Wallen both of Petersburg; sisters-in-law Alice Myers (Bill) and Beverly Gochnaur (Mike) both of Altoona; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pugs, Callie and Maxwell.
Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Winfield Hallman, II.
She was Lutheran in faith.
She was a 1966 graduate of Altoona High School; and a graduate of the Licensed Practical Nurse program at the Altoona Area Vo-Tech School.
Linda retired as a charge nurse for the former Allegheny Lutheran Home in 2013 following 26 years’ service.
Linda loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, painting, drawing, calligraphy and cross-stitch.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association.
Private viewing and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
